Course Outline:

The Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice qualification is aimed at candidates who are responsible for developing and applying health and safety procedures day-to-day in their organisation. They may be a staff member, supervisor or manager looking to improve their knowledge and skills. The awarding body for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual). This qualification has been accredited onto the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

  7. Develop and implement reactive monitoring systems for health and safety
  8. Develop and implement health and safety emergency response systems and procedures
  9. Develop and implement health and safety review systems
  10. Maintain knowledge of improvements to influence health
    and safety practice

If you are in a senior position and want to gain a degree-level qualification while continuing to be employed in a demanding role, the NVQ Level 6 course is preferable.

The candidate has complete discretion over how long it takes to achieve the Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice. Everything relies on the urgency, the participant’s competence, and the workload at the time. It typically takes between 6 and 10 months to finish. Given that this health and safety accreditation is equivalent to a bachelor’s degree, the turnaround time is remarkable.

No formal entry requirements, but candidates should have senior-level experience in health and safety.  Before beginning the programe, you will be required to complete a self-assessment to determine your training requirements.
